6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

The University of California Trust (UK) / UC London Office Office hosted a Global Forum in London to launch International Education Week (IEW) 2017 for the University of California in Europe. The purpose of IEW is to highlight the importance of global learning experiences for UC students.

The event included a panel discussion on Brexit with Member of Parliament Nigel Huddleston (UCLA M.B.A. 1998) and former Member of Parliament Calum MacDonald (UCLA Ph.D. 1992), moderated by Director of Hub Culture Edie Lush (UCLA B.A. 1992).

The evening featured remarks by both a UC study abroad scholarship student and UC alumnus Richard Simmons, CBE (UC Berkeley M.B.A. 1972).

Brexit is a daily topic of discussion, fraught with both challenges and possibilities. This dinner talk provided updates on Brexit negotiations and considered perspectives on what the UK's future might look like outside of the EU.
