UCLA Global Forum in Hong Kong

UCLA alumni and friends joined Chancellor Gene Block and Vice Provost for International Studies and Global Engagement Cindy Fan, for a UCLA Global Forum in Hong Kong at the Park Lane Hotel. Professor Wing Hung Ki spoke on his high tech research, “Wireless Power Transfer: History and Applications” which combined technology applications, innovation, and history in one engaging discussion. A networking reception followed the program. The Global Forum connected members of the UCLA global community through networking, campus updates, and talks on issues of global and local importance.

About Wing Hung Ki

Wing Hung Ki received his BSc from the University of California, San Diego, MSc from California Institute of Technology, and PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles. He worked for Micro Linear, an integrated circuit (IC) design company, before joining the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research interests are IC techniques for power management circuits, and recently, in wireless power transponders for implantable medical devices (IMDs).
