The use of technology and innovation to combat COVID-19 in Thailand

Why has Thailand preformed so much better than other countries in containing COVID-19? The possible reasons will be shared through the personal views of public health profession during this meeting.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Chulalongkorn University has integrated scientific knowledge and research to create innovations for society to fight COVID-19 alongside the Thai government. Chula innovations have worked to benefit the needs of society and to protect health care workers. Under the theme, “facilitate, reduce risks and increase efficiency,” Chula successfully delivered Pinto Robot, a quarantine delivery robot; CU-RoboCOVID, a robot used to care for patients; Mirror Robot, a robot equipped with a telepresence system; and Chula COVID-19 strip test kits, fast preliminary screening tests.
